@I am still oxox wrote:@Hearts4Me Thank you trying to get past yesterday and move on, its not an easy thing.
You are so correct! It's hard to not continually wonder when the next 'attack' will occur. And I'm so tired of being home as I am surprisngly a total 'people person' and looking forward to getting out to a 'free' life again.

@I am still oxox --have had a few of those in my life--they are very scary, especially the first time. You have gone thru so freaking much lately--your system is all messed up !!! It is all stress related--you know that and as soon as you get your life back to normal-- whatever that is, right?--- hopefully your brain will calm down too. Have nothing to make it go away except to tell your brain---that it is NOT in charge and then breathe thru it. I know--thats weird but it works for my crazy brain stress attacks---

I have been prone to Panic Attacks in the past as well. Deep Slow breathing helps me when I feel panic coming on.
I hadn't had an actual panic attack for over a year, and then out of the blue I had one at church a couple of weeks ago....I know I have been stressed and very over tires lately, so I am sure that is what triggered it....
Being overly stressed causes a lot of anxiety..Try taking some breaks throughout the day for rest and deep slow breathing exercises.
Hope you are feeling better soon!

Do you know what triggered it? I'd think that coming home to an incomplete mess would be nerve wracking. After spending so much money, you deserve a beauty and serenity in your home.

I've had anxiety attacks outside but never at home. Home is my "safe" place and easy and comfortable.
When I've had one out, I drop everything, leave and head home. Go to bed, rest and take it easy.
When I've had them at a store, it's usually crowded, noisy and lots of activity going on. I start to feel trouble breathing and very nervous and shakey. And I've got to just move out of the situation fast.
I went through a period where I had agoraphobia where I did not want to leave home. I would only go out with someone with me. Even if it were just my child, I felt safe. But not alone. And I just did notIt want to go anywhere. It lasted about six months. The panic attack is with it, where you feel scared. It all just went away and I worked for years and never felt any of it.

I remember being in the car of a friend----we were on our way to somewhere--- on the freeway, when she all of a sudden, out of nowhere, turned off onto the shoulder, slammed on the brakes, and had a full blown , sweating, heart pounding, face turning bright red, panic attack! She was shaking and breathing heavy and fast so I grabbed a bag and she blew into it until it passed. Took prob about 1/2 hr. Was the most frightening thing I ever witnessed! She then starting taking propanolol after that. Good grief!!!![]()

Glad you had a better day..I've had them on and off for years..not fun..Xanax helps most of the time.
When in a nursing /rehab about 6 yrs. ago to learn to walk again after major surgeries..They called and ambulance and took me to the hospital..They didn't want to deal with it.. they said I was doing it to myself.
