@chrystaltree, good luck--wishing for the best outcome from your surgery. Relax--in 24 hours, it will be over and rehab begins. Take care of yourself.

I hope all goes smoothly. Both of my knees have been replaced. I was pleased that both surgeries were performed early in the day. Was out of recovery in time for lunch that day, and ready to stand for the first time the next morning. Be faithful to your rehab routine and you will be walking without assistance in a few weeks. You will never regret the return to mobility without pain.

Good luck! I've had this done and several other surgeries also (including (2) brain aneurysm surgeries), and I can say the waiting is way worse than the actually procedures. Wishing you a speedy and great recovery

On May 1 of this past year I had both of my knees replaced at the same time.
ONE of the best decisions I've made. There was no pain. I went to a rehab place for about 2 weeks, come home to my daughters for a few days and I've not stopped since.
I live alone in a split foyer with 2 cats and the only pain I have is from my back. It has nothing to do with my knees although 1 knee is affected somewhat because there is a major nerve that runs down the back/hip to the knee.
I can do everything now (were it not for this stupid back). I was hoping the knee replacement would help my back but it didn't.
The entire time from the minute I hopped down from the operating table to the hospital bed my back is what hurt, never my knees.
Just do the rehab. Listen to what they tell you and you'll be better than new.
The whole world will seem even better than before. You have a little time before Spring. Get ready to have a wonder Spring and Summer.
So glad you decided to get this done. Please check in with us and let us know when you start dancing....(Oh! I suggest Bruno Mars' music....it has a good beat.)..fondly, Annabelle/Linda

At @chrystaltree, how long do they think you'll need to do PT and be off that knee? I'm sure this is in many of our futures. Some, sooner than others!

@chrystaltree You will be so glad you did it....the first week you will not believe that as the pain is there from surgery.......but as time goes on each day gets better and better.
Having all my joint replacements gave me my life back...I do not even have to take an aspirin anymore! I am pain free! You will be too....you have to do the rehab to get that bend in your knee....and it is not pleasant....BUT SO WORTH THE OUTCOME!
