30# gain, yes, I was at WW that was over 2 years ago, with my mom gone, house to sell and now gone, tons of excuses are piling up and although I've been going to the gym, unfortunately over eating and working out doesn't do much other than tell myself, you worked out, I can eat it.

Needed to say this....

I am on WW for a year now and I have had ups and downs but I have been successful in weight loss. We all have difficult times, your new life starts when you decide to make positive choices. Your new life towards weight loss always starts at your next meal. None of us are perfect. You can do this.

Tomorrow is a new day.  Start the day by going to the grocery store and getting fresh foods.  Get your tracker out and all your booklets and read them.  You can do this.

Don't feel badly @Mistreatedbycs.  I'm a Lifetime Member and they pay me to stay away and not tell anybody.  You have a lot of company.

I am also a lifetime member who has gained it all back...twice.  I just can't seem to permanently give up the foods that I love, in the amounts that I want.  I know what to do, just can't seem to do it.

@Mistreatedbycs ~ I gained 30#s after I quit smoking 2 1/2 years ago.  I still need to loose 15!  The best view comes after the hardest climb.  One day at a time, you'll have bad days, better days and good days and that's ok.  Like they say, the view is great from the top😊

Ok, you gained 30 lbs, accept it and stopped beating yourself up over it.  You go the gym....hellllooooo.....that's a good thing.  You probably would have gained 50lbs if hadn't gone to the gym.  Exersize isn't JUST for the thin or for people who are dieting.  If you want to lose weight, go back to WW or work wth dietician or try some other program.  However, if you feel that you have so much stress in your life now that you wouldn't be able to seriously diet, don't.  Just try to eat healthy and continue going to the gym so that you don't gain more weight.  You can re-viisit dieting when...or if....you feel it's the right time.

@Mistreatedbycs

Don't feel bad, and don't be too hard on yourself.

Life gets rough sometimes, and we all deal with things in different ways. And many of us battle weight issues our entire lives.

It doesn't make us bad people, or lazy, or lacking in will power. It does frustrate us, and make us angry at ourselves at times, but we are still who we are. It doesn't negate all the good things we are and all the good things we do. It just is more of a battle for some of us than it is for others.

And when I think about some battles others face, I dust myself off, and try to do better tomorrow, grateful that I don't face many of the things others do. This is my thing, and I will conquer it, or at the very least, I won't let it conquer me.

Go for losing 15 pounds first, then tackle the next 15.  I'm struggling to get rid of the 20 pounds that creeped back on me:/

It might not be that bad, if you change your eating habits, and religiously exercise daily.

What is your age, height, and weight?   How many  hours exercise do you do per day??    How far are you from recommended BMI?   Are you seeing a Registerd Dietitian?

And do you avoid binge eating?

Best thing I did was to give up my 5 year dependency on WW 2 years ago and start to prepare, and eat fresh, not frozen,  processed,  or canned foods.   I started working out at gym 4xweek, and walk 10,000 steps per day.   I work with a Registerd Dietitian on the advice of my primary Doctor.,,,smaller portions of food, and carb counting really helps!

FWIW, I lost 50# in 6 months through cutting out soda, deserts, starches, refined flour products, eating smaller portions.   And my weight has remained stable.  My BMI is perfect.  Blood sugar level normal, cholesterol normal, blood pressure normal.

I starting eating more salads, fresh vegetables and less carbs.   Bought a smaller. 9"  dinner plate.  Half plate salad, 1/4 plate fresh vegetables, 1/4 plate 4 oz. lean protein like skinless chicken, small lean pork loin or beef, tofu, or fish like salmon or halibut.

And avoid watching Holiday Gourmet and don't  watch the food presentations on In The Kitchen Wirh David.      Smiley Wink

Good luck and don't give up trying to loose weight.   You'll be more healthy., and enjoy improved self esteem.  Smiley Happy
