I had some kind of attack. I wasn't eating or anything. All of a sudden I was struggling to breath. I was gasping for breathe I felt like I was breathing threw a  straw. It seemed like forever but it wasn't and I caught my breath and was fine after. Has anyone ever had this happen? It was very scary!

See a doc it could be so many things,

I agree - see your doctor!  It could be any number of things.  I feel sort of like this when I have had anxiety or panic attacks.  I feel like I have no breath in my lungs and I truly struggle to breathe.  It could be asthma, could be allergies - could be many things.  Or just a fluke!  Please get checked out to be sure!

@cuddlesmama- I wouldn't fool around with that.  I hesitated posting this, but I'm going to go ahead and post.  This happened to me in 2012 and it was a blood clot.  Actuallly, multiple blood clots.  

I ignored the first short of breath incident the first day and the next day, we had to call 911.

Please get this checked out.

Yes see a doctor, same thing that happened to @AngelPuppy1, happened to a sister of mine...she had multiple blood clots!

I'm another one telling you to go see your doctor. Shortness of breath could have several causes, mine is related to cardiac issues that I'm having. This is nothing to ignore, it could be a sign of something serious.

This sounds very serious to me. If it were me, I would go to the ER...like now.

@cuddlesmama  With no prior provocation like allergies or asthma, that sounds like it could be a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung).  This is very serious.......please call your doctor immediately.

Instead of wasting time asking about your health on this forum:  CALL YOUR DOCTOR OR GO TO THE ER!!  You are playing with fire
