Hubby cut his wrist on an electric saw

Rushed to doctors and 8 stitches later we came home. This was on his right wrist (dominant) and was told to take it easy. Not an easy thing for him to do. Doctor said he was lucky he didn't lose his hand.

When I lose the TV controller, it's always in some remote destination.

Re: Hubby cut his wrist on an electric saw

Yes, he is lucky.  My Dad, in his later years, cut off his left middle 3 fingers at an angle while using an electric saw.

Two years ago last month I cut off the side of my left index finger while using a blade.  The nerve damage still drives me crazy.  It now scares me to use my chainsaw, so I put that away for good.

When I watch the guys on the fixer upper shows on HGTV using electric saws I get goosebumps and have to look away.  I just know that one day someone is going to get hurt.

@Group 5 minus 1

So glad that he wasn't seriously injured (although 8 stitches is serious to me!), good thing he didn't hit a vein or artery.

Hope he mends soon!

back when petroleum prices are sky high and so many people were cutting wood for wood stoves, this was very common. They are very very very dangerous.

OMG!  How horrible!

Looks like he had his Guardian Angel looking over him!

Wishing him a complete and speedy recovery - and a Jack and Ginger for you!

@Group 5 minus 1 So scary but glad that he is going to be ok.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Re: Hubby cut his wrist on an electric saw

A friend cut his little finger almost off with a skill saw. He had to have it amputated recently.
He's had two toes smashed then amputated and a glass eye from construction work.
I think he needs another job! And to stop using tools!
@Group 5 minus 1 @I hope your husband recovers soon!
