I have a female family member (40ish  years old)  that is having a lot of health issues...fatigue, sore joints, dry mouth and a few other things.  She does have a doctor appointment but I sugguested she go to WEB MD and or the Mayo Clinic website and put in her symptoms in the symptom checker, but it is not that easy...the way to use it is by alphabetical letters....like if you had one symptom.  Is there some other way to google multiple health issues?

thanks!

@Mom2Dogs You can try putting in multiple symptoms into the search bar. Use the word and between them. If you give me the symptoms I will find information for you. Please be as specific as possible and any know health information and medications will help me get you the information. I don't use the "ands" when I search. Sjogren's would be a possibility. The more you give me the better the results.

You can just put all the symptoms into google and hit enter and see what pops up. With just those three the main thing that pops up is Sjogren's syndrome.

@Mindy D ..gosh, thank you.  This is what she told me.   She also has chrons disease!  When I tried I didn't get to far.

She wakes up literally every hour all night long bc my joints hurt so bad. I’m not talking my hips and shoulders. It’s every joint in my body. Elbows, knuckles, ankles, all of them.

I also have severe dry mouth. I have to keep water by my bed. I wake up at night and it feels like someone has glued my throat closed. I’ve tried humidifier, oils you name it.

My toes so cold they hurt. Not my feet just my toes.

And I have extreme fatigue. Not just a feeling that I didn’t get enough sleep one night just fatigue. I can’t explain it

@Mom2Dogs About a year ago my dental hygienist told me I was having dry mouth and gave me samples of Biotene gel and mouth rinse.

I use some gel at night and no more dry mouth. It's a bit pricey but when I order from Walgreen's I often get a discount when I buy 2 tubes. A little goes a long way. Hope this is helpful to you.

I am not trying to diagnose @Mom2Dogs but just share my experience 😊. I was diagnosed hypothyroid and my symptom was that out of the blue I woke up one morning with every joint in my body swollen, stiff, and sore. I could barely bend any part of my body.

I was tested, among other things, for RA and Lupus.  Just as an aside my doctor decided to test my thyroid. That was the only thing that came back out of whack. A small dose of levothyroxine solved the issue and that was almost 15 years ago and no problems since then.

I hope her symptoms turn out to be something simple.  😊

@BExplorer  thanks, I will tell her to ask her doctor if she can get her thyroid tested.

@BExplorer is a tyroid test a simple blood test? or does it have a special name....

@Mom2Dogs Thyroid is a blood test. I get mine tested periodically as I am on thyroid meds. It's very easy.

@Love my grandkids ..thanks, I thought maybe their was a specific name other than, 'thyroid' blood test....obviously I am overthinking, ha!
