@Mindy D   My family member saw the doctor today, she was armed with the info you gave me as well as a questions the two of us had put together...with all she has been thru over the years, she has learned to be prepared.  I have been with her at the doctor many times and it's hard to stay focused so written questions always help.

He took 10 vials of blood, along with full body xrays or her belly and joints...and and full history.  (we talked on the phone so I am going from memory). He also discussed her crohns disease...although not in a flare right now.

She was thrilled that she had a good visit with a doctor that seemed to care and was interested in her quality of life.

I just wanted to say thanks for helping me out.

I'm glad that the visit went well. I'm very happy to see your relative being cared for by a physician that is really checking.

Crohn’s disease. Make sure everything is spelled correctly or it won’t search.

What is in Biotene? Maybe there is a generic or other brand that is less expensive. Check Costco also.

@Mom2Dogs   When your niece goes in for her test results, may I suggest that she take in a tape recorder.  My husband was diagnosed with cancer in 1999 and saw many, many doctors during the next 10 years.  We always carried a taperecorder with us.  When we would play it back we would be surprised at what we had already forgotten.  A lot of info in a short amount of time can be overwhelming to say the least.  I wish your niece the best in health.

Good health is so precious.

Fear not Brothers and Sisters! I have read THE BOOK..........we win!!!

@tends2dogs   Good idea.  When my step daughter had thyroid cancer and we went with her to the appointment she took a tape recorder...things become a blur,  especially when the news is not so good!
