Thank you! Perfect visual that I will share. This might be an uphill battle. My friend says she eats healthy when, in fact, she does NOT.
But it's her battle--I can only offer suggestions.

You’re welcome!
Since you’re familiar with Cronometer, that might be the BEST first step.
Encouraging her to log e.v.e.r.y.thing...or even write everything down..
to get in the habit of eating more ‘mindfully’. Even Weight Watchers
encourages food logs. But I. Cronometer, that pie chart of C/P/F
is eye-opening, yes? Trying to keep Fat down to 10-15% & Fiber over 50grams is hard, at times! Love the way Cronometer lays
everything out...makes it easy to understand.

She is familiar with Cronometer, Intermittent Fasting, etc. She just doesn't apply them to HER lifestyle. I think when she finally realizes that extra 25 lbs she is carrying around since being on her "beach" plan is detrimental to her health, well-being and the way she feels about herself, then she will become serious.
The Cronometer has been the biggest and best tool to aid me in staying knowledgable and honest in an 80-10-10 lifestyle. Every morsel counts!

I was never a calorie counter or gram counter or anything counter. And then when I went WFPB Vegan, after a few months, I started looking at Cronometer. What a great resource! Not only macros, but micros. It really helps you see exactly what the heck you are putting in your body. And now I'm getting almost 100 grams fiber every day. I'M A FIBER MACHINE! hahahaha

Fiber is the ‘new’ protein! Ha
All the studies coming out about healthy gut biome just confirm how important fiber is....and how having a healthy gut biome is the answer
for so many modern day illnesses.
Sidenote:
I always say humans eat 3-5lb of food a day.
I’ve read that many, many places in form of studies, etc.
I’ve lived that when I was doing my ‘Spudtember’ a couple yrs
ago...I would avg anywhere from 4-5lb of potatoes a day.
My trainer (he’s PB) has a client who is interested in PB
and she wants to know exactly what I eat so...I’ve committed to
logging everything in to Cronometer for a couple weeks to give her
ideas, etc. And even though I eat roughly 2lb of potatoes a day,
with oats, berries, greens, beans, etc....I still average 3.5-4lb of
food a day, even with tons of variety. My satiation receptors knows!
Girl. You The FIBER Champ!
After I finish this 2-week Cronometer experiment, I’m going to
track my fiber to try (!) and reach your 100g! Eeps!

Well I see I have some homework to do. I haven't gotten into macros/micros. I did stop using the Cronometer for about a month thinking I had memorized everything I eat. Now I am back at it and am a machine. I log food before I even eat it to make sure my numbers are looking good and precise. Eating 1/6 of an avocado and Ezekiel toast, my fat for the day is still only at 9.6% because I have eaten really clean the rest of the day.
Thank you for your well wishes. I honestly don't think I could have been successful if it weren't for you and @sidsmom. You both have always been so willing to share your expertise and I believe it was your generosity that kept me accountable!
Oh and I really believe there are residual benefits--I am sleeping so much better, my allergies have barely bothered me this spring and I am so much happier having a very rigid plan and living inside the box (for a change)!

That is the your ideal number of calories to maintain that weight.
Add 100 calories to your total if you exercise.
I had read that for weight loss, you should set your goal weight and multiply that number by 10 to get your total calories.
Thoughts?
That formula doesnt sound right. If my granddaughter age 23, and 5' tall , weighs 105, she is petite. Her thumnail is as big as my pinkie lol! If she went by that first formula, she could not eat more than 1,040 calories a day, 1140 if she exercises.

I don’t agree. “Add 100calories if you exercise?”
this is is too subjective. Most people would say they exercise.
Going by this formula, my caloric intake for the day would be under 1200 calories to maintain my current weight. I exercise a lot, and need about 1800 calories a day to stay where I am, now.
