Our doctors give us 90 day supplies on all of our meds with at least 3 refills. When we are out of refills our pharmacy handles it. We get them by the following day. There is only one exception. I have one prescription that can only be given out as a 30 day supply. But my doctor gives me a few refills. When I run out of refills my pharmacy handles it and again, I have my meds by the following day.

@I am still oxox My husband goes through the same thing every month for one of his medications. There have been times when he runs out of it , then it is a weekend and he can't get it until Monday. It is a real pain, trying to get his prescription filled.

@Boehm Collector this script must be written every month, and only for 30 days no refills are allowed by law. All of our other scripts are generally wrtiiten for a 90 days suppy

That is not the case where we live.

With my personal experience, a quick response from a pharmacy to clinical staff for a refill can depend on how efficient the doctor's staff are. My PCP office responds to refill requests quickly whereas my DH's cardiology office does not. Me or my DH have to call his cardiology office sometimes two or three times to get the meds he needs refilled.
I hope you're able to get your med refill sooner rather than later @I am still oxox

@I am still oxox was hoping by now that you had received a call from the Pharmacy about the refill. Hope it works out before the end of the day.
