I take 10,000 units a day and still test low.  I use it for seasonal depression.  My pharmacist friend told me not to take more.  My doc doesn't seem to believe in this lack of Vitamin D - depression theory.

3000 IU all year round, since I stopped sitting in the sun totally.  I use a combo of calcium, D3, magnesium and K1,  K2.

I trust my doctor.  I feel it best to consume a well balanced diet to get vitamins and minerals. Ive never been fond of popping pills. Doctor said she takes it herself.

I take 4000iu every day all year around, and since you are in Iowa, we are touching states with same 4 seasons.

My choice is 2000 in the morning and 2000 at night. Been doing this for several years now and it works well for me.

Thanks , i know everybody is different , but it is one of the few times a doctor has ever recomended a supplement , that was a few years ago.
