Exercise and petting canines!  We also have a piece of dark chocolate each evening after dinner.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

I run at least 5 miles a day, many times 7 miles, listening to good music. I love how I feel starting about mile 2 and for a few hours afterwards. I like to get my run in first thing in the morning so I feel good all day.

Endorphines that are good for your over all health?  Mines is listening to music I love and dancing (shaking a tail feather).  Of course there is one more that ranks the same way as my dancing, but that's besides the point......*my attempt at being fresh*

Here are some other ways good endorphines can be released from the body to help with stress, pain, self image, and controlling apetite:

Exercising (Power Walking)

Dancing

Swimming

Hiking

Secs

Massage

Acupuncture

I like your list, even though there are a couple that I have not done, or continued to do anyway.

For me the best way has always been an activity that increases the heart rate for a sustained period of time. To be more specific for myself, that would be running and ice skating, both of which I loved doing.

I will add more specifics like flexibility exercisesspecificity in strength training. Also Relaxation Response or Transcendental Meditation(TM).

Nothing for me has felt as good as a "Runners or Skaters High". Those transcend all for me.

Almost every day, a morning two mile power walk followed by half an hour of meditation, or Qi Gong.

I get a half hour massage every other week at a spa just around the corner. It is enormously relaxing. The same therapist is there for every appointment and her touch is perfect. I am sure it stimulates every kind of feel-good chemical my body produces.

Highly recommend the tactile stimulation, the pressure and  strokes that benefit circulation, and the warm flat stones for skin and muscle relaxation. I walk home and let myself take a nap. I am remarkably carried to positivity by endorphins for about a week. Physical treatment that provides a lot of mental improvement.

My dh and I power walk twice a day (min. 5miles/day). Since we started this journey we've lost 110 lbs between the two of us.!! We are no way gaining that weight back! We are in our late 60's. We feel the effects of walking in a good way! No aches, no pains, never get sick, always in a good mood, etc. Exercise is a game changer with us!
