My brother was diagnosed with this several years ago and was waiting for a new drug that is supposed to make the treatment more successful. His Dr. is now telling himit's time to try. He has had 2 biopsies and has no cirrhosis. The cost for this is about $6000-$7000 a month and that is with the insurance picking up their end and it's for 6 to 7 months! The success rate is around 40%. Has anyone out there had any experience with the new treatments for Hep C and is it worth it. I've done a lot of online research and the side effects are really awful.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
