Are they internal or external or both? I had to have surgery mine were so bad after childbirth. When they thrombose or get stuck it’s hurts so bad. Worse than anything imaginable because that area is so innervated.

Hopefully the cream and fiber intake will help.

Is it a prescription cream or OTC? My mother had terribly painful bleeding hemorrhoids. She never had problems with constipation so she didn't have to add fiber. She liked fruit, apples in particular, and raw vegetables such as carrots, celery and radishes. The doctor advised her to use an ointment with lidocaine. I don't remember the name of it but there are name brand and generic available. Sorry you have to deal with hemorrhoids!

I'm glad you went to the doctor as soon as you noticed blood. Hopefully, the cream will soothe the inflammation. Another thing, try not to push or lift anything heavy.

First, I would rid myself of a Dr who told me to use a supplement

instead of beautiful, healthy food.

Second, eat/drink (at least)

-2 cups of old-fashioned oats w/ blueberries,

-1 pound of greens via chopped salad w/ balsamic vinegar

-1 cup of beans/lentils

-at least 100oz of water

-remove all dairy

.

.

Call me in the morning.

Your fix will be solved.

Guaranteed.

Oh, and buy more Charmin.

@2blonde, I agree with you about the Magnesium supplement, I wish I had tried it sooner. It really has helped alot.

I started using Life Flo magnesium oil spray because I was having a lot of muscle spasms. So far it's working & they have stopped.

I read we all need magnesium since each medication you take causes your magnesium levels to drop so you need more magnesium. Low magnesium causes a lot of problems.

What I like is it will let you know if you are using too much.

Apples are a good source of fiber.

If you use Benefiber start out slow like every other day & go from there. Add to it after you have used it a couple of weeks. If that's too much back off some.

I add Organic Psyllium Powder to our smoothies sometimes.

The OP is on Weight Watchers so just eating what she wants is limited.  That's why I suggested the Bran Buds.  It may be high in points but it's quicker and easier than chopping and cooking lots of vegetables when all you want to do is eat supper - and get some quick and gentle relief.

OP - Pay attention to your toilet paper too.  You may need to switch it up.
