Great to hear that all went well, @hckynutjohn. Those early appointments are good snd they are bad. We had to leave our house at 4:45 am to make sure we weren't late for the 7 am appointment since we don't live close to that hospital. Procedure started at around 8:30. He's doing much better but I think it's more because, for the first time, he's watching his glucose level and taking insulin. Much more energy.

Anyway, so glad you are doing fine.

A BIG Thank You to everyone on this forum. I now know what my problem isn't, since all arteries and 2 stents were found clear. It now comes down to what options I have available to work with to help improve my hearts remaining capabilities.

When I get more info on what is still fairly safe to do, I will begin immediately. Right now my Cardiologist is waiting to see if, meds that are new to me, are working to help my heart pump blood more efficiently.

Can't hurry this process, so it's a matter of wait and see. This is not new to me, just another in a long line. As with most the others, I am sure this will come with a willing to risk, reward option.

I have always chosen the risk option when it comes to living my type of life. To do otherwise would be foreign to me. Hopefully I will find out more this Tuesday at my follow up visit with my Cardiologist.

Right now, getting back to ice skating is once again my goal. I well know it takes leg strength/stability, and probably most of all, balance. As many here know, with age, balance isn't as simple as it was in our earlier years.

@hckynutjohn All best to you for this. My mother had one when she was a few years older than you. That was more than 10 years ago. They found nothing to clean out or do. My hope is that you will get a similar clean outcome!

But the dr. took me aside and assurred me my mother would probably make Christmas that year, but certainly no more than 2 years and probably not that. I remember thinking you don't know my mother! She's still going strong.

Point here is age isn't everything, and medicine doesn't take in personality and medicine can only see charts and test results, not into the future! And, you do remind me a lot of my mother! I am optimistic about your future!

Been following this thread and so happy to see your post today @hckynutjohn ! I will keep you in prayer and hope the options for future don't hold to much "risk" for you but much health going forward.

I am always amazed and learn so much from your detailed posts on procedures you have had and how you know your body so well.
