@LindaSal @Bell's Palsy is not always temporary. I know 3 people who had it (not related to the vaccine). One recovered fully, but the other two had lasting problems. Both had a drooping mouth and one did not have full use of his arm. Again, speak to a doctor before taking ANY vaccine. This is not the place to go for reliable information.

@Janey2 I do realize for some it can be permanent but the way I understand it is most recover fully. It's somewhat common in dental patients after receiving a novacaine injection. Thank you for your clarification though.

There is no evidence that the vaccine causes Bell's Palsy. The few cases where it happened was most likely the cause of an underlying issue.
This forum is not the place to get medical information! People need to realize that before getting all emotional. Why would anyone trust a shopping forum for medical advice?

When my friend developed Bells Palsy she heard this too and went to her dentist who told her it was not related to dental work. Who knows. Even after all these years her eye still waters especially in colder weather.

One of my Girlfriends needs to use her NUFACE device religiously otherwise her face sags.
I would not brush off the effects of Bell's Palsy.

It depends on what kind of covid you get. If you get the "I have no symptoms, are you sure I tested positive?" kind of covid, I'd take that over Bell's Palsy. And bear in mind something like 80+% of the people who get covid have the no symptom kind. Another ten to fifteen percent have the "It feels like the flu and I feel yucky" kind of covid and about 5% end up with the "I could die" kind of covid. If you're going to get the "I could die" kind of covid then yeah, I'd take the Bell's palsy over it. Not so much for the other 95% of the covid possibilities.

Sadly....you cannot take a face value anyhing in the so called news these days...
it usually has some exploititive version of the real story...
For ANY covid or vacine info...go to the CDC webpage
Yesterday they again posted that ONLY those people who have had a SEVERE reaction to a previous VACCINE...not medecine like pennicillian etc...should not take the vaccine...
Whe do people like spreading gloom and doom? Dont we get enough of that in our lives?
Lets try spreading kindness and hope for a change

I posted about this a while back. Four Pfizer study participants, who received the actual vaccine, developed Bell's Palsy. There were none in the placebo group. Pfizer believes it's coincidental and not related to the vaccine. However, if more cases pop up, it will be a clear link.
