We got our flu shot a week or 2 ago
We got the Pifzer covid vax. we were told booster is 6 months after last shot. DH is 65+ but not at 6 months yet. He's prostate cancer survivor.
I'm 62 & healthy not sure when I can get my covid booster.
3 local walgreens don't do the booster anyway (at least at this time)

Did you get sick after the booster? I got chills, fever and upset stomach. I got mine on Tuesday and still not feeling great. My flu shot is scheduled for Friday.

I got the Covid booster and the quadravalent flu shot for seniors on Sept. 27. The pharmacist recommended both shots at once, in case I should have side effects from either. You might as well be under-the-weather once instead of twice, she said. I had two sore arms for several days, didn't feel 100% either, but that was just for one day. I am glad it's over and done with for both shots.

@elated other than the usual soreness at the injection site on my upper arm, I felt no different with the Pfizerbooster shot. I also had no reaction after the initial two shots of Pfizer shot 6 months ago other than the sore arm, and not really very sore at all.
Since you are sensitive to the shots... why not put off your flu shot for a month out from your booster shot? No since to chance feeling worse and still plenty of time for the flu shot to start protecting you.

My arm is somewhat sore but I am moving it around and don't anticipate any problems. I wanted to get it now so a couple of weeks will pass before getting the Pfizer booster when it becomes available to those 65 and over.
@Wiscfan3 DH and I just had our flu shots yesterday at a phamacy... they never offered the high dose shot and we received the regular flu shots...
I read that you really only need the high dose if you are truely elderly... and have health issues. We are just both 65 and healthy. No health issues at all. I never asked about the high dose flu shot... but wonder if you need to ask about it or they automatically just give you the regular one perhaps??
