It doesn't bother me. What you consume is your business. But this is a serious subject and worthy of more than flip comments without content.

When you eat a low fat, plant based, whole foods diet, like I do, everything is fiber! I eat at least 2 lbs of raw/cooked veggies a day, lots of potatoes, rice, beans & lentils, lots of fruit for dessert/snacks. I seriously can't believe how this is 'news'. It's just Nutrition 101. Like I said before....all those meat, cheese, egg, oil eating folks w/ infrequent bowel routines might be FINALLY waking up.....

Me, too! Rice isn't a great source, but beans and lentils are powerhouses!
sid, I know you are on top of food news, but there is news about meds you may be on. You might want to check into that.

Gosh people can be so mean. Why bother to comment if it is just to be snarky? NoelSeven was just sharing information that HAS been all over the news today. I too saw it on ABC World News Tonight, and took note of it. The "meat" of this new study was claiming that when a lot of fiber was added to diet people loose weight, more than people who don't.
So, please chill out. (My daughter's school district has this campaign right now called #benice. Iwould say we could use some of that here.)
