...with great success and if so, can I hear your story?
I have a ruptured disk, 2 bulging disks, spinal stenosis and osteoporosis plus I have bone-on-bone in my knees. I had MS years ago but I have been in a good remission for many years. I have done extremely well with all those maladies until recently. I have taken Fosamax, Forteo, Reclast injections and Prolia shots but now my teeth are getting really bad because bones in gum area are getting so hard, teeth are pulling away and my pain in back, knees, back, hands, ankles, wrists, etc.
I need something besides steroids, NSAIDs and Tylenol. I don't like to be drug-dependent.

Wow. Do you see any specialists or just your PCP?
I don't know if this might help, but a roll-on with lidocaine like Aspercreme or Salon Pas gives me relief and reduces pain by about 35%, allowing me to take fewer pills.
I tried tumeric with curcumin capsules and in less then a week I was getting red blotches, so I stopped. I can't speak to whether I got any relief.

I take turmeric, glucosamine chondroitin, and collegen peptides, all from Andrew Lessman. They all help. I take the recommended dose of glucosamine which is 5 capsules per day. I have herniated discs and arthritis. I don't take any perscription drugs.

I see a neurologist, orthopedics and endocrinologist in addition to my internal medicine specialist. I use Voltaren cream. I just don't have anyone to put it on my back because my husband is disabled, deaf and almost blind and I care for him.

Thank you. I am going to try that. I have been getting steroid injections, some IV steroids and lots of other stuff, all of which is bad on my osteoporosis and I want something that is not going to damage me any further.

@Nonametoday with all your health issues, I would consult my doctor before starting it. Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's safe. Turmeric can act as a blood thinner. My husband takes it and I guess it helps somewhat, but he also doesn't believe me about the blood thinner part and then wonders why he has all these nasty bruises anytime he barely hits something.

If you have a tendency to kidney stones it is my understanding to stay away from tumeric.
There is magnesium (stay away from the oxide form as it tends to be the cheapest and the least effective) that is a good help with issue.
My mother had bone on bone in her knees. With her the only thing that helped with that was to have both knees replaced but not at the same time.
There are patches such as Salonpas that have a patch that is Over the counter to lessen the pain.
Ginger tablets and fish oil are anti inflammatories as well.
What you might seek out are medical grad compression garments.
Also accupuncture might be of help as well.

I certainly would. I always do. Doctors don't even like me to have to take oral steroids, ASA or NSAIDs because I then have issues with bleeding. I have been monitored, over the time I was taking one ASA per day for heart protection, for a blood dyscrasia which I apparently do not have but still see hematologist in that regard as he likes to monitor my labs.

I can't have replacement for a time due to breast surgery and dental extractions, removing all those implants and others that were just crowned because of the Prolia damage.

@msgb. Yes, I just finished a bottle of Andrew Lessman turmeric I bought to try for my joint and back pain. It did absolutely nothing for me. I might as well have popped M&Ms.
