sfnative: The "glue" product is called Renewed Nail. Go to renewednail.com (I didn't even know it was online until now). Click on "how to use" on the top of the page; then click to see the video on the right side. I go to Dr. Scot Roberg, Oxnard, ca. I only have to apply the product once a week. I was in so much pain from the severe fungus --- and now my nail looks and feels so much better. Dr. Roberg charged me $50 for the product. I just googled "Renewed Nail" - and the product was developed by Tim Nguyen, Podiatrist, Oxnard, CA (I went to him 10 yrs ago). I do trust him.
I would never have a manicure or pedicure done at a salon.

My daughter and my friend had a fungus toe too, and their nail just fell off, mine never did.
Don't take the pill, it is very bad for your liver.
Just like every other pill everyone lives on for high blood pressure, high cholestrol, diabetes, etc. and it's only for three months and I only took it for a month total in two week intervals and it worked. Never came back and my liver is fine. I had a blood test.
Lamisil CAN be bad for your liver, as a POSSIBLE side effect. I took one round of Lamisil, and my dr. required 2 blood tests to check for liver damage throughout me taking it. I had no side effects. The fungus cleared up, and it never returned. Best thing I ever did for myself. I can now wear sandals with confidence.

I've read of that being recommended for ingrown toenail pain but didn't know it was for nail fungus as well.
Yup!! My podiatrist recommended it. He said you have to be consistent and apply it twice a day.
