I had biopsies done on both breast 2 weeks ago. Thank God the results were negative. However, when the surgeon inserted the needle he hit a nerve (my Dr. said artery so not sure which). Unbelievable bruising has resulted. Literally, almost the entire breast in particular on the bottom half where the needle was inserted was black, slowly purple but still some bruising all the way to the nipple area. What I have noticed is that I have what feels like a lump/mass about the size of an orange in the area where the needle when in. Sorry to get so graphic but am wondering if any of you have had this experience following that type of biopsy? Thanks in advance for any feedback.
