Re: Hair Thinning Treatments??

@lkat  You are paying less for Nutrafol than the Amazon price? Is it the $79 month that I see in the Nutrafol website?  Are there any S+H or other surcharges?

TIA!

Re: Hair Thinning Treatments??

I use a hair growth laser cap, the CapillusPro. It has made more hair grow back, more than anything else I've ever tried. I've had hair loss issues for my whole life, went bald part of the time and I've tried almost everything including microneedling and lactic acid injections into my scalp by a doctor.

Re: Hair Thinning Treatments??

I have not tried the supplement you are asking about but I am doing Rogaine 5%, once a day, and its working.  It's been 6 months and I have regrown hair.  I can only describe it as a blessing or a kiss from the universe.  It's not easy because it's a constant everyday situation but so is brushing my teeth.  It does make my hair a little stiff with the product but I wash about every other day anyway so I'm good.

Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.

@SilleeMee - I have been pricing these caps for awhile from Amazon, HSN, etc., some have different laser diodes in the descriptions, some have 112 laser diodes and the Plus has 202, does this matter?   Also, do these caps all come with a battery charger?   What outlet would you recommend purchasing from?  TIA.

@SoCal Bred

My CapillusPro has 272 laser lights. More lights means more coverage on the scalp so that increases the treatment area and also increases the probability of regrowth.

Some caps contain red LEDs and lasers in them. That's okay but not as effective and the cost is lower for those kind of caps.

Battery-operated caps give you the convenience of treating anywhere you go but batteries need to be replaced at some point. My CapillusPro battery lasted a little over 3 years which is about what to expect. There is also an AC adapter, which I bought as a separate purchase, so I don't need to rely on a battery.

I bought my cap directly from Capillus dot com. Wherever you decide to buy one just make sure there is a good return policy with no restocking fee. Capillus has a 6-month return policy BUT if you return it there will be a 25% service fee deducted from your refund and you pay return shipping also.

Another question - do you need to use this laser cap every day or 3 x's a week and do you repeat the 6-min treatments 3 x's (15 min total) all in one sitting?

@SoCal Bred

The Capillus has a 6-minute timer per treatment. Directions say to use it once everyday.

I use it every other day, two treatments back to back.

I don't think it matters how you do it as long as it's consistent.  Most of the literature I've read about treatment times mention 10 minutes per session once daily. One hair loss clinic I consulted with recommended 10 minutes every other day stating that the hair follicles need to rest for a day between treatments...whatever. There's no evidence that says if you treat every day that it will make your hair grow back faster. The studies were done on every other day treatments and that's what was approved by the FDA clearance.
