@10sluvr, did you mean neuropathy? I've never heard of a grounding mat so I did a quick search. it sounds like it could either be a real benefit, or another hoax, but either way I'll be interested to see some responses here from anyone who may have experience with them.

I was thinking retinopathy was the word.
Never heard of grounding mats, had to look it up. If this was so wonderful why haven't we heard more about it? I am pretty skeptical by nature so I am just thinking out loud. My initial reaction is that it is a hoax.

I have to say I don't get the point of a mat. I read about grounding recently and I thought the point was to be outside. Honestly what I read about it left me thinking well yes it's good to go outside and enjoy nature and peace and quiet. Not shocked that it waws somehow turned into something you could do inside with an electronic. ![]()
I am always a skeptic though so my opinion probably isn't worth much.

Not sure how it might help with your husband's condition but grounding is a real thing. Ideally you walk barefoot in nature but when weather and other circumstances don't allow for that, a mat could be an option.

There are a lot of wonderful things we don't hear about but that doesn't mean they're a hoax or don't exist. The avaliable cures for cancer is just one example.

While I'm familiar with grounding/earthing, this is the first I've heard of a mat producing the same effect.
Traditional grounding has been proven to reduce inflamation in the body. Walking barefoot in grass or on sand is beneficial. You can also use a chair and sit if mobility is an issue. If his disorder is linked to inflamation the practice can help.
An electronic device replacing Mother Nature? Here I'd be skeptical but if they offer a return policy, give it a try!

I have heard of "grounding" but not grounding mats. With grounding one is supposed to go barefoot outdoors in nature on the grass or even better on the beach.
There are supposed to be health benefits but of course most people can't do this everyday.

I read about grounding or earthing years ago. I should have bought one long ago but never did. I should buy one to give it a try.
You can do the same thing sitting outside with bare feet on the ground, in dirt, sand etc.
If I lived around a beach I would sit with my feet in the sand daily.
IMO it's not a hoax?
It says it may help diabetic neuropathy. It says it can decrease glucose in patients with diabetes so keep track if you try it.

You might also want to do some research about Red Light Therapy which is what I use.
I'm not diabetic but it helps for may aches, pain & inflammation.
