Rae- Thanks so much for the excellent post. Back pain and sciatica pain is no fun and I can completely relate to not even being able to sit (which is also my job). I'm convinced that all the years of sitting in front of a computer at work have caused the problems I'm now having. I've tried everything too- but didn't want to get involved with pain meds (also didn't like the way I felt). Thank goodness I found yoga.
What you said about flexibility really hits home. It's amazing how stiff we become everywhere, without even realizing it. The slow stretching is a godsend. I can even unhook my bra without grunting now!
