I saw the oncologist and he doesn't seem terribly concerned about those two spleen spots. However, since I am a melanoma survivor, he wants to do the prudent thing...an ultrasound this month, then in 3 months, then in 6 months, then in a year. If there is no change he said we can just forget about it. Meanwhile the CT scan findings showed the spots looked like they were liquid filled and one was partially calcified, both very good signs that indicate they are likely just harmless cysts.
Since ultrasounds emit no radiation, I have no problem going along with the recommendation. All my doctors are on the same page with this and just want to be absolutely certain that what they think is true is actually the case. So, tomorrow I return to dance class and start getting back to my normal life routine. It will be a much appreciated pleasure, even after my knee starts hurting again after the workout.
