The creator of "Fathead" is Tom Naughton. Put dot com next to his name and check out his "credentials."

@mom2four0418 The really sad part is he has a book for children with inappropriate language directed at young boys. He is definitely not someone anyone should be taking advice from regarding their health. He is a comedienne and has no medical training.

What is your medical degree? Are you qualified to give medical advice?
Watching YouTube videos and losing weight does not make you qualified.

@mom2four0418 And that documentary is chalk full of facts that happened...
Being nearly 62, I am old enough to remember them all.
Either folks will take off their rose colored glasses & horse blinders or they won't...it really is that simple.
I am thrilled DH did his homework when he was 1st diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. I can't imagine where we would be healthwise if he didn't...
To start, we'd probably both be taking insulin.
The gov/pharma will continue to push their upside-down food pyramid...it's where the money is.
So glad DH and I took off our rose colored glasses and horse blinders and woke up to the madness.
There are folks that are quite happy eating all their carbs and taking insulin daily. We personally know folks who would rather take either a higher dose of insulin or a 2nd shot of insulin daily over giving up their favorite foods. Another reason is they can't be bothered counting/keeping track of their carb/sugar intake.
Nobody can help those folks...nobody. That is no different than folks who got lung cancert and choose to continue to smoke...so much so they are happy to smoke on their death bed.
I cannot believe the countless ways DH and my health has improved from removing all the excess carbs and all the sugar...truly life changing. We started noticing improvements after about 3 weeks...amazing.

That is wonderful that you have improved your health. I have too. Totally without going "keto"
Just because you had success does not mean others with different health concerns will.

Yes, and some of the reviews of the book from parents are frightening.

Nonsense! Type 1 diabetics and Type 2 diabetics who do not produce enough insulin or any, are not sitting around eating excess carbohydrates. Please refrain from insulting the diabetic community with your scripted sales pitch.
edited to add...a Type 1 diabetic and many Type 2 diabetics could fast and eat nothing but without life saving insulin, they would go into diabetic keto acidosis. Describing them the equivilant of a nicotine addict? Ridiculous!

Someone who is morbidly obese (your 100 lb weight gain) is bound to have health improvements from weight loss. I don't care what you eat, but posting information from dubious sources will be challenged. And, the "rose colored glasses/horse blinders" remark aimed at anyone who disagrees with you is arrogance personified.

Please research Type 1 diabetes. Type 1 is not caused by eating carbs! Insulin is a life saving treatment. It is not something anyone in their right mind would want to have to take.
Your postings about this are truly frightening and very wrong and misleading. You seem have a strange resentment with anyone who must have insulin to live.
If you had a magic cure for Type 1 diabetes you would be world famous.......

After 50 years of Tyoe 1 and injecting insulin, her rose colored glasses directed towards diabetics comes across as ignorant of what diabetes even entails @4kitties . Same with Type 2 diabetics who often are first diagnosed when their pancreas no longer produces any insulin. The assumption they are sitting around eating excessive cake, cookies and ice cream is just baseless.
