Alendronate (sp) was suggested about three times. I tried it once, but it was hard on my stomach.

 

For me, I am so sorry I didn't follow up after my tummy rejected the pills.  When I was finally retested I was down to -4.2 in one spot.  This is a difficult place to climb out of.  My mom died soon after she fell and broke her hip and I guess I was in denial.

 

Please don't drop this issue ❤️

People who cannot tolerate oral bisphosphonates (Fosamax, Boniva, Actonel and others) there is the option to get a once-yearly IV infusion of Reclast which is another bisphosphonate. That way you don't have to suffer with stomach issues encountered with the pill form. I'll be going the infusion route when the time comes.
