Has anyone tried this? My workout partner has just started this, saying that it is an old wives' tale/cure. I looked online and this seems to be quite popular for easing arthritis and joint pain.

Gin soaked anything sounds good to me. I hope it works for you.

I did try it for a few weeks.
You are supposed to use only golden raisins.
It didn't do anything arthritis wise so I was thinking, just take the gin and drink! See if that helps![]()
Some people say it does help.
Raisins, amoung other health benefits are supposed to reduce acidity in the system (too much can lead to arthritis and other health problems. They are also supposed to "promote bone health."
Gin is made from juniper berries which are (amoungst other benefits), a natural antioxidant.

Well I suppose if you eat enough of them, you won't mind or notice the arthritis pain so much.
Aside from that, I don't buy for a minute that this is an effective treatment.

no, probably not.
just like putting a bar of soap at the foot of the bed stops restless leg syndrome RLS
However, my RA test is negative, but oseoarthtitis (which I have) has responded to Cat’s Claw and Deep Blue (doTerra).

It's the alcohol content in the gin that kills joint pain. Alcohol is a well-known analgesic. Simple as that. It's not a treatment. It's a painkiller.

I read online where they can not prove that foods or drink is a detriment or help for arthritis.

To appease the .org posters, this was found on arthritis.org.
I mean, really?
Alcohol was not, isn’t & never will be good for unhealthy bodies.

Could I ask what brand and amounts of Cat's Claw you take?? w/food or not? I am always on the lookout for anything to help with arthritis pain. Thanks for sharing
I am gonna pass on the Gin soaked raisins LOL....I dislike both so it's a double no go for me!

Dr. Oz recommended this to Joan Rivers several years back on his show for her knee pain. Supposedly a home remedy with some merit.
