Hubby and I got our flu shots Monday and we both had a headache, body aches and he had a fever but I didn't. With the shingles shot it was the same. I look at it this way. One or two days of feeling yucky is better than weeks of the flu, shingles etc.

I got a one day fever from both my Shingrix shots, but a heck of a lot better than getting shingles ! and I had to pay $50 for each shot 2 years ago.

I do pretty well with shots.  Never get any kind of a reaction.  I just got my flu shot and Covid boost, both in the same arm, and no reaction.  I still need to get my RSV shot, but my doctor and the pharmacist told me to wait at least two weeks after those first two shots.  So I'll get the RSV shot later this month. I'm so very thankful that I seem to tolerate shots without issues.  Tenderness in the arm, sometimes.

i had both Shingrix shots a year or two ago, again without issues (thankfully).

DH and I got RSV and flu shots 2 weeks ago at same time -- no side effects! We've also had a total of 3 shingles shots ( old one + Shindrex 2 doses).  Those were painful but I had Shingles about 15 years ago ( A mild case although I had to take off 2 days because I couldn't wear a bra; solved that problem by spraying Nu Skin on my rash where bra touched it.

@Luvsmyfam, hope it goes well.

I was extremely sore with my first shot. Told myself I've had worse pain, tough it out, and it would only last a couple of days. And for me that was true.

My second shot was only one day of mild pain. To me, though I know the vaccine is no guarantee against shingles, it was worth it.
