After having several GB attacks in just a few weeks and terrible stomach pain (upper part of stomach), I went to see a specialist (GI) who ordered several tests. The last 2 tests I did were a HIDA scan and gallbladder ultrasound after all the other tests came back okay. I have a small gallstone at the base of my GB and my GB is functioning at 33% (35% is the cutoff). He has recommended GB surgery due to the stone and GB function. While I haven't had an attack in a week or so, my stomach is always upset to the point it is very hard to eat (no appetite).
For those of you who have had GB issues and surgery, did you have gallstones and what was your GB functioning at? Thanks.
