Dr Eric Westman is another doc to check out.  He's known for his page 4 diet.

Stay away from NOOM, people.

My mother got caught in it and had to go through an entire dispute with her CC company to get out of it.

I'm firmly in the "do your OWN research, figuteout what has caused you to be

overweight in the past, find a way of doing THE OPPOSITE OF DOING THINGS THAT

MADE YOU GAIN WEIGHT, and incorporate the NEW IDEAS into your lifestyle"

approach.

Losing weight MAY cause temporary discomfort, so be ready for that.

Am I happier and healthier with 100 pounds gone? Yes.

You are very welcome.  There are a couple of things I don’t agree with him on, but I still appreciate his message and how he explains the science.  What I don’t agree with him on is unlimited veggies and his higher amount of carbs permitted.  Low carb and keto are not the same thing so be sure to research.  If you have questions, you know where to find me.

Questioning GOLO or NOOM reminded me of the phrase “looking for a Magic Pill”. There are no magic pills in weight loss.  Success comes from making lifestyle changes, replacing old habits with new ones, and making new/better choices.  If you can find it on Netflix or YouTube, look for the documentary “The Magic Pill”. It was a real eye opener.  When my DH and I started keto it was on,y about weight loss.  Then we watched the documentary and it clicked, causing us to decide it would be a lifestyle.  I hope you can find it, it’s very interesting.
