@Susan Louise Thanks!  I plan on watching the video.  I've been wanting to go low carb and can do it for a few days at a time but then my cravings get the best of me and I can't stick with it.

My blood sugar level is in a noraml range and I want to do it to just be healthier and lose some weight.  I'm hoping that the video give tips on how to stay with it and get through cravings.

As has been mentioned in every thread the OP starts concerning this topic, Dr. Ken Berry has had his license suspended several times.

I would be VERY careful taking medical advice from a "doctor" with a medical license that has been suspended more than once.

There must be a reason he has to have you tube videos instead of a thriving practice.

Please get your medical advice from a reputable Doctor or dietician.

The OP listed three names of "experts" here. Two are chiropractors who sell books, supplements and access to diets. The third also sells things, and has had his medical license suspended at least twice.  $$$$

Re: For those that would like to understand/learn about the low carb/keto lifestyle...

I tried the Keto diet for a while....but I think it is just too extreme. Too many saturated fats...not enough fiber or natural phytonutrients from berries, etc.

I have found a way to incorporate and adjust  keto with just a natural healthy diet. Healthy fats...limited saturated fats...some fruit sugars, but limited...some whole grains...but limited...no junk food at all. Limited animal protein...not eliminated ...just selective and not everyday...plant basted proteins only some days.

Anyone with diabetes, type 1 or 2, should NEVER be taking medical advice from a forum without consulting your own doctor, one with an actual MD and license in good standing.

@SeaMaiden  this is very similar to what I did.  For me, the Keto diet is way extreme, I don't need to do that, so I don't.  I also limit fruit to berries, apples, etc.,

(none of my favorites with pits) as they are higher in sugar.  I dont eat potatoes, bread, regular pasta, white flour or sugar. For me, my diet works, is healthy & fresh,  but I am always eager to learn more.  In any case, thanks!  @Susan Louise

I have been on a low carb diet many times starting back in the late 70's.  It is a wonderful way to lose weight, but I almost died from it.  I mentioned that quite a few times on these boards.

If you get your body into ketosis, it can cause heart problems.  I kept passing out, my potassium was low and my heart muscle was affected.

It's okay to cut down on sugar and junky carbs, but be careful, your body needs good carbs for you to live.

I have done Ketoflex based on Dr. Dale Bredesen's recommendations for years now. Best thing I ever did for myself and my health and I have the labs to prove it.  It really worked wonders for me with my genetics.

@haddon9 You might try googling Dr Eric Westman's white coat talk on YouTube, too.  He's been at Duke University for 20 years.
