You conquered the lure of a bowl of oatmeal?
It's just horrible that you set a goal to completely deny yourself foods you love, and feel victorious in reaching that goal.
I know you can't see it, but any objective reader can see the "eating disorder" mindset in your keto posts.

@Mindy D Salads and a restricted small group of fruits. I remember mentioning to you a few times that DH grows many of our veggies hydroponically...kale, romaine & curly lettuces, and spinach just to name a few. This past Spring/Summer he grew many more veggies...several varieties of tomatos, radishes, broccoli, and strawberries!
We have salads 3-5 days a week.
I have mentioned several times on various threads our restricted fruit list. Yes, fruits have vitamins, but the sugar/fruitose outweighs the benefits. We don't have fruit juice whatsoever.
When we have fruit, it is considered a treat. Once or twice a week DH & I will either share an apple, share a manderin orange serving (for example, 1 serving is 2 Cuties) or a handful of strawberries/blackberries/blueberries. I'll add some on top of keto waffles or sugarfree jello.
Consider a single serving of Cuties is 9 carbs...so DH and I will each have one manderin orange - 1/2 a serving...approx 4.5 carbs. That is a part of a daily intake of 20-30 carbs a day. Hope that helps put things into perspective for you and others.
We really do keep our daily carb count to about 20-30...about once a week or less it winds up to about 30-40, but that happens rarely now.
Don't you need some protein in your diet? Where does that come into play. Fasting is not good for diabetics according to the Doctors who have medical degrees that I listen to @Susan Louise .
@gertrudecloset I shared an example of our menu a couple of posts ago
I saw it. Want to know how you get daily protein?
@gertrudecloset You saw it? Your question makes me think otherwise.

I don't know about the rest of you, but Cheerios rank about 2,436th on my list of things to worry about in this world. Maybe even lower.

@BExplorer wrote:I do congratulate you on your weight loss! However I don't agree with any of your methods, I eat pretty much the opposite of you. I eat any and all plant foods, absolutely no meat and very little animal product. I am not scared of whole grain carbs of any sort.
You won't change my mind, and I won't change yours (I don't try to impose my views on others). I do think your way of eating is very unhealthy in the long run but do wish you the best.
ETA I wouldn't touch Cheerios, last I checked they used caramel coloring.
@BExplorer There are millions of folks who are 100% vegetarian that are aware that carbs/sugars/seed oils are not good and still manage to live a keto/low carb lifestyle. They just have to be very clever coordinating their food choices. They also take different supplements since they don't get certain nutritional benefits from animal products. As for oils/fats, they use olive, coconut and avacado oils.
We use the avacado & coconut oil, but not the olive oil. DH and I just don't like the flavor added to foods. Avacado oil is virtually tasteless

If one needs to take supplements to have an adequate diet, that's a big red flag I would think unless you have a specific medical condition and your diet is mandated by your health care team and physician.

Sitting is the new smoking. I don't like diets that deprive of things I like. If I'm told not to eat it for a health reason, then that's different. I still might cheat on it for a minute every now and then.
Calories in + Calories out
@gertrudecloset That is just a myth...always had been. Not all calories are created equal. Don't believe me? I recommend watching the short 6 minute youtube video - title highlighted below:

As the saying goes....to each his own.....it is important to try and remain healthy by what we do and what we eat everyday.
My mother lived to be 100 and ate a small bowl of Cheerios every morning. Three small meals a day. She also enjoyed a light scotch/water cocktail before dinner and small glass of white wine with her dinner. She was active into her mid-90's working part-time, reading and walking a little everyday.
Good Luck to all in staying healthy.
Follow-up note....I forgot.....my mother loved a bowl of popcorn with her scotch and water....ha! I think I will follow her diet but skip the scotch. I'll just have wine.😁

@Susan Louise The only diet I believe in is a sensible diet with a lot of variety. Otherwise seems you are having to spend too much of your life obsessed with food and playing catchup to get what your body needs.
