I had my appt with the Cataract specialist on Monday. My vision had begun to get cloudy again and I was getting ready to call him.  Well, turns out the lens WAS cloudy so he used the YAG laser and everything is bright again.

He said normally it doesn't become cloudy this soon after surgery. It was 1 month for the right eye and not even 1 month for the left eye.

Drops in both eyes for another week and back to see him the 23rd of March

My vision does seem to be clearer and today I was able to drive and feel comfortable doing so! . So that is a definite improvement.

I had a problem with cloudiness after cataract surgery too!  Mine was the pouch that holds the lens had become cloudy.  The YAG laser surgery did wonders.  Glad they did the 2nd procedure for you and that you have had such a good response!

This is a very common procedure.   A good percentage of cataract patients have to have it done,  as did I.

My Mom had cataract surgery several years ago. She had the cloudy lens occur soon after, and had the laser to correct it. No problems since.

My husband had the exact thing happen to his eyes a couple of years after cataract surgery.  The cloudiness was really bothering  him and hindering his driving.  A few minutes with the laser and all was crystal clear again. Then,, a month later had the other eye done too.    He keeps saying how great it is to see individual  tree branches and street signs again.  He told the doctor, "If you weren't a man, I would kiss you!!"

I also had the Yag laser done on both eyes within a year after cataract surgery on both eyes.  In between all of this, I have Macular Degeneration and get injections in one eye.
