I have been getting my two Pnuemonia vaxxes for years now. I'm not 65 yet..... @Texasmouse
You have to get two and you get them one year apart. Ask your doc and don't get the flu with the pnuemonia vaxx. I don't think they will actually give it to you if you tell them about the flu vaxx. Has to be a certain amount of time.

@patbz Pnuemonia vaxx is one every year until she's received the two required shots (separate formulations of 13 and 23).
I've done it twice now. It lasts at least 3-5 years. Of course, you should double check this, but you don't get the Pnuemonia vaxx every year. It's not needed.

I get the Pneumonia shot also, but never get them too close together. My Pulmonologist told me that years ago when he gave me my 1st Pneumonia shot.

@hckynut There are two shots that are given, customarily. They are given one year apart from one another. One covers 13 strains the other covers 23 strains.
This has no ideological or conspiracy attachments. It's just facts ~ the only thing that really matters in life.

I'm getting mine as soon as I see it available and am in that place at the time.

I'm scheduled to get my flu shot Friday morning at Publix. I made the appt. online a few days ago.
At that point, it will be 20 days since I got my Covid booster.

I generally get my flu shot sometime in October, but I remember last year 2020, I just happened to be up at the pharmacy, and I saw the line to receive the flu shot. Since I was there I took care of it. That was during the month of September.
During 2017 I was on vacation out of country during the month of September and injured myself zip lining. I arrived back in country on a Saturday and Sunday morning I was at Urgent care making sure that everything was okay. They offered the vaccine so once again I took care of it.
The flu shot for me is an annual item on my to do list that I take care of when the opportunity presents.

What makes you so sure you are not a transmitter? Are you aware of the science that the Covid shot protection may wane after around eight months? I guess your decision is between you and your physician, but you need to stay informed.
