I have my knee replacement on Tuesday, November 13. I started getting packed and wondered if anyone had any helpful suggestions.
I am taking disposable toothbrushes, trial sizes of shampoo, deodorant, soap, etc., and will throw away anything left at the hospital. Really, the only thing I want to bring home is my clothing. And, that will stay outside on the covered deck until DH launders them using the sanitize cycle. I have an old hairbrush and comb that will be thrown away, etc. I plan to pack each day's clothing in a plastic zip loc bag and at the end of the day it will go back in there. I have packed Lysol wipes and DH has been asked to wipe down everything as soon as I get in the room (especially TV remote and phone, doorknobs, bed, etc.), have Germ-X wipes and gel, and my luggage will be a sports bag that can be washed.
Do you have any other suggestions/hints? I am not taking my Kindle as I am not sure how I would sanitize it. I am not really a germ-a-phobic, but I don't want to bring MERSA or any other such thing home.
Thanks in advance for any ideas or suggestions.
