Fitbit Charge HR question

We have 2 of these in our household 1 size small, 1 large and I have noticed that the charger to the large does not fit the small Fitbit??????!!!!! 

I was hoping to keep one charger upstairs and one downstairs for convenience . They look the same but the fit is not right and instead of charging a ! is displayed.

Has anyone else noted this or is it user error?

Thought the only difference between the large and small was the leangth of the band.  My want to contact customer service.

Someday, when scientists discover the center of the Universe....some people will be disappointed it is not them.
