Re: Fit bracelets - does anyone have one you've been using??

I've been using a Flex since last summer and I love it. I wouldn't be without it, it has changed my life. I also have the Force and One devices but happen to prefer the Flex. All are equally great choices.

I'm not too worried about the elliptical steps. I only use the arm bars for half the time so I don't lose that many steps. Not enough to go to the effort of separate logging. I'm usually at about 12K steps so I don't mind dropping a few.

The last two days, I've walked over 4800 steps! I didn't think I could do that many! I was so surprised yesterday when I did 4835 that I'm aiming to hit 5,000 tomorrow!

Good for you! You can do it!!!

I was torn on which fitbit item to buy. Can you tell me why you like the flex better?

I personally bought the flex so I could shower in it and not worry about taking it off. However I am finding it gets water in where the little capsule goes and that bothers me. That is worrying me and I will end up taking it off everyday for my shower anyway. That defeats the purpose of buying the flex.

I did buy an extra dongle that should be coming this next week. That way I can see my readouts at work as well as at home.

Re: Fit bracelets - does anyone have one you've been using??

Where have I been? I'd never heard of a Fitbit but saw them at Brookstone the other day and came home and started researching. I went and bought DH and myself Ones yesterday and love the motivation....the what??? I've only walked this much? Or gone how many floors? So as a result will be moving much more today! I also have MyFitnessPal, which is also really keeping me focused, but I don't think they're syncing together so I need to revisit that.

Anyway, I wanted to thank all that had posted on them because of course this was one of the places I came to research! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

ETA: I was wrong. I just checked my Fitbit app on the phone and it did update my calories from MyFitnessPal.

Those of you with the Fitbit Force

I have had the "One" for about a year now. I like it okay, I just wish I could have something I constantly wear, and don't have to remember to put it on and off whenever I change clothing.

That being said, I absolutely love how accurate the One is. With all the reviews I am reading on Amazon about the Force, the accuracy is TERRIBLE!

What's your take on the Force?

Thanks in advance lovleys

Re: Fit bracelets - does anyone have one you've been using??

I got the One last Monday and really like it! I started tracking everything on Tuesday and reached 5000 steps the first day. I've been going up since and yesterday was well over 11,000 steps and 5 miles. This is really keeping me motivated to keep moving more.
I started a weight loss challenge at work a week ago and having the Fitbit is keeping me motivated to move and track my calories.

I couldn't decide which Fitbit to get but read about alot of problems with the Force and the Flex bracelets breaking so I decided to go with one that I could wear on my clothes. I was putting on my 'roos each day but for some reason, my stomach was itching and puckered where it was so I've been keeping it on my bra strap.

Re: Fit bracelets - does anyone have one you've been using??

I have the One & really like it. I wear it on my bra at the center. No one ever knows I am wearing it & it is safe and secure.

The bracelet and armband styles do not fit my lifestyle so I never considered them much.

Walking is not my main exercise but moving more is a good thing. I like my Fitbit because it motivates me be more active as I go through my day. Instead of trying to carry 24 bags of groceries into the house in one trip I take as many as possible. I park far from where I'm going & actually don't mind the walk. I enjoy it. I also find myself going for long walks & I find they are nice for many reasons including being a good way to de-stress & unwind after a hard day.

It also motivates me to get to bed earlier.

Re: Fit bracelets - does anyone have one you've been using??

Hubby got me the Fitbit Force for Christmas. I have worn clip on pedometers before. I downloaded the program and wore the Force for less than a week before it fell off while traveling. While I loved the features and how I could check my progress on my cellphone, right from the get go I could not get the bracelet to stay on my wrist. It fell off several times a day every day that I wore it no matter how carefully I snapped it on. I am going to replace it with something and am thinking of the Zip.

Re: Fit bracelets - does anyone have one you've been using??

I love my fitbit flex for the same reasons you all have listed. I love having it on my wrist and forgetting about it. It has been a great motivator for me to get up and walk, or take the long way around to get somewhere rather than the quickest route from point A to point B.

I also have used it as a reminder that I am trying to live a healthier lifestyle. So now I think about what I eat before I eat it. I haven't had any problems at all and bought an extra dongle so it will synch at work too. I am tracking at myfitnesspal as well and am happy with the way the 2 work together.
