@SilleeMee   Got it, I was not going to 'eat' it from a spoon...just sprinkle on food.  My cholesterol numbers are not in the bad range but culd be lower.

Re: Fiber Supplement?

@Mom2Dogs

If you bake then there are recipes where psyllium powder can be used as a thickening agent and also to make things chewy. Look online for recipes.

Maybe add it to soft food, too, something you can mix into it. It will thicken it a lot.

I was told to get 24 grams of fiber a day, which I have get in my diet.  Are most of you doing that amount and how much is diet and how much more do you supplement?

@Sooner

I take that psyllium powder, at least 7g x 3 daily. Whatever I get from the food I eat is probably not enough.

Strange your doctors are not recommending cereals that are high in fiber.

@Sooner When DH and I had our colonoscopies the doctor said 30 grams daily.  Since we live a keto lifestyle we're not getting enough through diet, even though I eat a decent amount of vegetables, a good sized salad several times a week, chia pudding every day.

That only provides 1 gram of fiber.
