Re: February Exercise Thread

Well, today was a very trying day at work. Just one of those where you have to shake your head, and remember that tmrw is a new day. Made myself hit the gym for weights because I needed it physically and mentally. Went to dinner with hubby afterward and had a wonderful conversation and evening. Just what I needed. Feeling blessed and not stressed now. Smiley Wink Til tmrw...... Lol!! I didn't have time to do cardio beforehand bc I got home so late, but I probably walked 5-6 miles at work today --- not even kidding. Ok, I need to get ready for bed. I am beyond exhausted. Hope you all have a good Thursday. So glad hump day is OVER!! Night!!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Happy Thursday.

I did a quick mile run with the dogs and forced myself to go to the gym. I wasn't going to since I slept under 2 hours last night but I had a 3rd cup of coffee which is not my norm and it made me jittery.

So...I did a Cross-Fit style work-out there. Lots of jumping-jacks, squats, wall-sits(2 min), lunges back and forth across the room, mountain climbers, and some running on the treadmill but nothing overly crazy. I didn't do heavy on the weights because I'm too tired and don't want to injure myself.

Blowing and snowing here...says 32 mph wind gusts but I'm guessing it's more than that. They said we might get a snow-storm with high winds and up to 12".

Anyhoo, hope everyone is doing well. I am going to shower and head out for groceries, dry cleaners, and probably pop into Target as there are a couple of things I want to pick-up for the kids.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Morning,

Bopper you made me laugh. Not in a good enough mood to dance around the kitchen, but I did a 30 minute chi routine in total slow motion (slightly irritating) that incorporated moving like a tree in the breeze. Will that do for now?

There's light at the end of the tunnel! We're looking at a warm up in a week; and that's the best news in these parts in an awful long time. Patty reserve a bit of that energy if you get that snow. We got that a week ago, high winds with 10 inches of heavy wet snow and that almost did me in. Up here there's no more room to put it either. Hope all is looking up for your DS and grand dog.

Way to power through Nomless, especially when you don't feel like it. FUTURE, the same thing. Lifting weights is a great alternative to the other options that would float through my brain dealing with difficult problems or people.

Tony did you get some kind of workout in? Judy, waving. You hanging in there?

Be careful of those voices Bopper. That cabin fever thing took over here a way's back, I think. Once we get that 20 degrees I'm going to shut up and just be thankful for it.

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey all, yes it is another bitter cold day here too but we must push on!

I did a rebounder workout for 30 minutes and then did a Leg Magic workout on my machine for another 30 minutes so that was good.

Shoveled my deck, filled my bird feeders and toss a few snow balls to Logan. My birds are almost fighting for a perch to eat they are so hungry and cold. I worry about the wildlife with all this cold.

Canine glad you did your Tai chi workout and thanks for the warning about the voices Haha.

Pppmint go get your groceries and then stay in..and safe. Hoping DS has a good day today and the pups too. Be careful out there.

Waving to everyone, making meatballs for my wedding soup!

Re: February Exercise Thread

Hey all, All I can say is Burrrrrrrrrrrr it's dang cold. Minus 22 this morning ....not windchill either.

Checking in with my Total Gym workout. It will take me some time to get used to the attachments but I think I will get a lot of use out of this machine. I did use the Ab attachment and that is awesome..could really feel it. My upper body needs to become stronger so I will work a lot on that.

Pppmint hope DS is feeling better and his job is going alright for him.

I made wedding soup yesterday and lemon bread for our dinner and DH loved the soup and the bread. Good soup day

Have a great day and tomorrow we are in March! Yikes....March....where is Spring, not on my horizon!
