I stopped taking them because whether they were cheap or costly I had an interstate of a traffic jam.  After a 30 day try at each from Equate to Align, to Nature Made I just gave up.

We are currently using New Rhythm and I get it on an Amazon subscription so I never have to remember to buy or order.  It's made in the USA, non-GMO, shelf stable, gluten free, and is stomach acid resistant.  Stomach acid resistance is an important thing to look for.  Otherwise, your stomach acid could kill off  the good bacteria before it reaches your intestines so the supplement would be useless. I read somewhere that it's good to alternate/rotate probiotic supplements but I don't.  I also eat some cold fermented sauerkraut everyday and yogurt a couple times a week.

This is what I use also.  I had several months of pretty intense issues, saw a gastro doctor and he told me to get this (from Amazon). It took awhile but I'm 99% better.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I just want to say that not everyone can take probiotics. They may end up being more of a problem then a solution but only you can figure that out. Also, always look first at medications you are taking that might actually be causing your problems. For example, I don't know why but I always have constipation issues when I take Advil or Aleve. I also can't take Melatonin for the same reason. Just a reminder to think about meds you're taking and how they might be affecting your system.

@JeanLouiseFinch  Thank you for mentioning your Probiotic...I noticed that it uses a vegetable capsule.  We have been taking Culturelle for that reason for a long time because it also uses a vegetable capsule and it works.  I am going to take a look at New Rhythm and compare prices.  I frequently add sauerkraut to our daily salads and often indulge in Chia Seed puddingSmiley Wink

@on the bay   I'm going to take a look at this Probiotic also.  I like Garden of Life products and this has the required vegan capsules.  I'm going to do some research on why this capsule is also good for "vaginal health" and compare it with my current probiotic.  Thanks for the suggestion!

@SilleeMee  Food is my go to for health also.  For probiotics, we have sauerkraut and vegan kimchi.  Food is our medicine as a first defense.  I supplement rarely and only when needed....as natural as possible.

@Mindy D that seems to help things evacuate well... Also good for other things -- like joints (arthritis).

To your health!
