I go to the meetings every week, know what to do and what not to do, but just sitting at losing a pound, gaining a pound, up a half, down a quarter. I'm not close to goal at all and I'm not too comfortable, it's just all this cra* in my life right now, the scale isn't moving and I'm not tracking, weighing anything out but very conscious of what goes in my mouth.

I don't know if you need to fail to succeed, but this just su*ks.

Probably just a temporary setback, Nantucket. Due to stress, I've had serveral false starts lately but I think I'm finally back on track now. Also, maybe your body has plateaued. Don't give up. Think about how you won't have to pay anymore when you reach goal, lol.

I am in the same place. I fell off the track, and even as much as I desire to get back on, I cannot seem to get on. Any advice anyone?

I'm so glad you posted. Right now, I am sitting at a plateau (actually plus a few pounds) and I need a major jump start. I checked today about Weight Watchers--and I've joined a lot of times. I just cannot get motivated by all the points, counting, etc. I know it's me and my fault. Not the program--but I have to get with it someway, somehow.

Are you exercising along with the diet? Doing both is key to success. The exercise will help to burn extra calories, reshape your body and rev your metabolism.

Don't forget to drink plenty of water too. If you are retaining water, drinking water will actually help to flush it out.

I am in the exact same situation.

Also, you really need to weigh and measure your foods and beverages plus track them. Sometimes a few extra bites here and there can add up to lots of calories.

First, please do not call it failing....you are not a failure. You need to take a look at what you have been doing right...and then look what you been doing that is slowing your progress. Write it all down. Look at the list of destructive behaviors and pick one or two that you can stop doing for a week. At the end of that week, pick another one. Stop doing that one for a week..keep doing this until all the destructive behaviors are crossed out. You probably only have one or two... That is all it takes to stop your progress. You know what to do...you just slipped up, easy to get back on track....we all need to reflect on how we are doing sometimes.

Hang in there Nantucket. I had made it to goal and within weeks was back up just enough to no longer be free... but I was so sure I could take those pounds off that I didn't weigh in because I was too embarrassed. Well guess what, when I summoned my courage I was up even more!!! I found my determination and got within 1 1/2 pounds. I joined a health club and went everyday... followed the plan faithfully.. so sure at next weigh in I would be back at goal... I was up 1 3/4lbs. I then did what I always do. Feeling sorry for myself and an. " I'll get them attitude" I ate my way through my son and husbands Easter baskets!!! Kept on going. I am hoping to go to my meeting Saturday morning... Probably will not weigh in but try to gain some more motivation. I guess what I am trying to say is you are not alone... this is a daily battle.... Try to take it day by day.. meal by meal.... do your best and keep trying. Stress, hurt feelings, disappointment send me straight to the junk food. I have decided that if I can find some time this weekend I am heading to the store for a great new item just a bit small and hope that motivates me to keep going. Keep going to your meetings, they are important. Join the WW message boards and post when you are stressed..... We are out here to help you, help each other... You are NOT alone. Just the other day my leader posted on face book" A year from now you will wish you had started today" Best of luck... We are hear to help.... You are not alone!

As far as WW, I was doing well, but when the Simple Start was introduced in January where you can eat without measuring or counting points, as long as you eat Power Foods, plus you can still eat your 49 points during the week as Indulgences. This was to get newcomers started, but we all could do it, and then after two weeks, you could continue on Simply Filling (same as simple start) or count points. I got off track doing this, started over eating, and lost control of where I had been.
