@Etoile308.  This device exercises nothing.  It just vibrates and jiggles your fat.

@Kachina624How do you know what it does or doesn't do?  Have you used it?  Do you know anyone who has used it?

@Kachina624, I said that I think many people would rather exercise in private, than out in public. I never stated the devise was a a piece of exercise equipment...but the description of the product does state it's for seated or standing exercises. And I've only know of resistance bands to be used in exercising. You can customize workout lengths from one to ten minutes. Workout lengths, what would that denote? There is even an important information warning to always consult your personal physician before beginning any diet or exercise program.

That leads me to suspect that in some realm of the universe someone must feel it they would use it for some type of exercising.

I just know if I haven't purchased a product then I'm not going to voice an opinion or admonish anyone that might have an interest in that product. But that's me.

@Etoile308.  I do know that you don't need a $200+ machine that jiggles you in order to use resistance bands.  A little common sense is in order here.

Those that never used it or have knowledge of the science and benefits behind it  are not being forced to buy and use it.  I have used a  "contraption" like this in PT and understand the science behind how beneficial it is!!!  Those that speak so negatively have no real knowledge and actually sound rather ridiculous spewing their nonsense.

FYI to those- walking is a completely different type of exercise and also different than many types of physical exercise.

I have not seen this particular brand of machine. I am familiar with similar machines that have nothing to do with, or claiming, to remove fat or body weight.

They are primarily used to improve balance, and secondarily, to add resistance exercises at the same time. Part of my 12 week Balance Physical Therapy used commercial machines that did more than shake.

They moved at differing speeds while changing the angles of the platform on which you were standing. It was all computer controlled and the Therapist decided what level to set for each patients present balance ability. It helped me greatly to get back to my ice skating after my 14 year inability to skate.

There is one particular poster on this thread that I wish I could block.  It doesn't matter on what forum she is posting, I can tell it is her post by how negative it is!  I don't even have to look at the name!  Rarely...RARELY...she might post a positive comment, but that is the exception to the rule.

I happen to have a friend who bought this to help with her balance.  She used something similar to this in therapy, and even though this isn't quite the same, she thought it would help and is giving it a try.  If she's not satisfied with it, she can always return it.

Re: FITNATION contraption

[ Edited ]

Another thing is that if you are balancing yourself that is great for core strength, circulation and a workout that cannot be achieved by merely walking.  If nothing else walking  is just getting someone  a little movement and not really great overall exercise (unless a slow run pace or walking with wrist ankle weights for 5 miles or more daily).  Most who say they walk only do it a few times a week and only for a mile or so at a very slow pace.    You also need resistance and real cardio that most do not get from walking.  I have another brand like this one and I feel the effects of using it in conjunction with my other workouts.

Some may not know much about fitness and may not care to get an overall great workout then just walking a bit and doing nothing else but that alone will not bring fitness.  Making false statements about something your are never going to try makes no sense whatsoever!!

I used my unit today. One of the best things is how it makes your shoulders feel when doing planks on it. Kind of like a mini massage.
