I had elevated pressure in my left eye and have been on eye drops for several months. I saw the Opthamologist last week and my pressure is down thank goodness. Glad the procedure worked for you !

I have had elevated pressure since 2008. Drops controlled the pressure until the last couple of years. They seemed to have no effect lately. My pressure kept going higher and higher with each visit to the ophthalmologist. I had to do something to lower the pressure to a safer level.

I am glad the drops are controlling your pressure.  Hopefully, they will be all you ever need.

@Zwervend The surgical scheduler told me I could drive myself home, there were no special restrictions, and no preparation. All I did was appear for the scheduled time. I could have driven myself, but my husband drove. My eye felt numb from the drops which seemed odd. My vision was clear enough to drive.

Thanks! I drove myself to/from the YAG procedure without any issues. I could've driven myself to/from my cataract surgery as I refused all sedatives. After 2 procedures for the retinal detachment, cataract surgery was a piece of cake!

I am extremely allergic to all of the topical numbing agents that are used in eyes. My opthamologist will come up with something, should we get to that point so I'm not too worried about that.

I actually had lazer done to my eyes way back in the mid 90's. Worked like a charm and never have had any pressure problems since.

@msgb It is amazing what procedures can be done as an outpatient with little or no downtime! I, too, had my floaters removed and it is unbelievable how perfect my vision is since the procedure!

I hope you have the same experience with your vision!
