@granddi Did you ever decide to get the home air purifier? I love mine.

@granddi   I suffer from allergies on & off 12 months a year. I’ve had very expensive air purifiers for many years all over my house. You may feel differently but DH & I came to the conclusion that they didn’t work & may have even made the problem worse. The problem was we found that no matter how often you change or clean the filter you can’t remove all of the bacteria. This bacteria grows & can  make your allergies worse.Since we got rid of them we feel much better.A contractor pointed this out to us.

I keep my windows closed at all times. When it’s hot I run the air around the clock if necessary.I change my HVAC filters every month.I purchase the MERV 13 filters, costly but worth it.

I switch off between Zyrtec & Allegra D. I also use Flonaise Sensimist daily when my allergies flare up.When I get desperate I use Afrin as needed when nothing else works.

This is what works for me.
