I am just beginning to investigate these.
Would you please share what you know?
Thanks in advance.

I've been involved with essential oils and herbals for most of my life. It is a lifetime of study to understand the science and lore behind them. You should start simply by taking 1 or 2 oils and research them the best you can. Use only therapuedic grade oils. There are some MLM companies that have excellent quality oils but are almost cult-like in their messaging but also provide good information about the properties and uses of oils . Try to navigate around that stuff. Good luck. If nothing else you'll have a terrific smelling house.

Some essential oils can only be diffused in a diffuser, others are edible, and others can be applied to the skin directly. You need to research them. I own a diffuser.

I took a course years ago on how to use essential oils and their dangers. I have tried just about everything once over the years in many combinations for many aliments mental and physical, also for beauty. The oils can be very irritating to some and certain oils mixed together can actually burn the skin even in a carrier oil. There are many books on how to use the oils, find one that looks interesting to you. I actually used to make salves and lip balms for sale. These days the only oils I use for just about everything is organic Bulgarian lavender and tea tree oil. Lavender oil right out of the bottle can heal a burn so quickly you won't believe it. Tea tree oil is great for blemishes.Bulk Apothecary online is where I buy my oils, they have just about anything you could want.

@Shanus, this is a perfect example of a subject where it is well worth the time of doing a search of old threads. Much has been shared on the subject before today.
It would be a shame to lock up or delete them.

I've been taking classes on essential oils from Aromahead Institute. Some classes are free, others have a fee. I have learned so much !! You take the classes at your own pace. There are great books also.

I also use eucalyptus. I made an inhaler of it for a sinus infection. I also like rosemary, geranium and frankincense. I'm now learning how to make body butters and lotions. I clean with oils also.
