Yes, I have. One was done with retrieval performed in the doctor's office and the other sample was taken when I had a D & C w/Hysteroscopy.

What would you like to know?

Had that biopsy a few months ago in the GYN'S office. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Far more concise than a Pap smear. Had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and am now on chemo /radiation treatments since they found a node that was questionable.

I have had four of them, all done in the doctor's office. The discomfort is manageable and only lasts seconds. Both of my doctors suggested I take Motrin before the procedure, I did, and it helped. This procedure is done as a diagnostic tool and is used to,glean valuable information for many female issues. Depending on the sample, results can come as early as two days or two weeks. Try to relax over the next couple of weeks, as the procedure itself is quick and is very common. I hope everything works out for you.

I had one at the doctor's office. Was instructed to take Motrin prior to the procedure. Didn't take long at all, and didn't find it painful. My results came in 6 days later, and like the second responder, mine was positive for endometrial cancer, which the doctor was not expecting. After a total abdominal hysterectomy and radiation therapy (external and internal), I am happy to say that I am 8 years cancer free.

I had one and, as a result, I had a hysterectomy. I had a tumor the size of a mango! Lucky for me it was benign.

I had a sonogram which caused some alert, I am scheduled to get a sample (biopsy). I asked how it is performed, she said a vacuum like procedure. Is this the procedure you all had? My provider didnt say take Motrin, I am going to ask for o.k. Best wishes to all.

In the doctor's office, she used an instrument to grab and pull off a sample. It was a little uncomfortable, like a pinch, but over with quickly and not intolerable. I don't know how the retrieval was done during the D & C/Hysteroscopy as I was asleep. What precipitated everything was abnormal bleeding. I went for ultrasounds, learned I had endometrial hyperplasia. Both biopsies showed precancerous cells. I had a total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy with Oophorectomy in March. It was a very positive experience for me and I feel great.

I had one in my Dr.'s office because I was spotting after menopause. He did not recommend that I take a pain killer before. It was very quick. There was some pain when he took the sample but only for a few seconds. More like a pinch than any serious pain. I had cramping later in the day but nothing that an Advil didn't handle. My results were benign. Good luck to the ladies who have this test scheduled.

I had this done in the Dr.'s office without it having been planned. I thought it was very painful, and I felt a little faint afterwards. I did not have any pain management , the Dr thought it would just be a quick test. The results were negative, luckily.

I was told, that for perimenopausal / menopausal women they now recommend it to done every 2 years. I'll think twice about it, and definitely will ask for some pain management. I have heard that they can do a local anesthetic.

Hope your test will be manageable and turn up no new issues.
