I have had 3 of them.

They will usually sample all 4 quadrants for thorough read of the endometrium. The last one hurt the most. It did feel like someone was pinching you inside!! It is a fairly quick procedure, and am not sure any pain medication would help with the procedure itself.

However, there can be cramping and light to moderate bleeding for a few days afterward. The taking of Motrin could be helpful for that.

Some people say they feel nothing afterward. I had significant cramping and some bleeding with all of them. I'd rather you know rather than think something is wrong!!
