Anyone have this to stop dysfunctional uterine bleeding? I've been having a period since the middle of May that hasn't lightened up. Dr. put me on BC pills and it only got heavier. Had a pelvic ultrasound last week and it came back clean and a endometrial biopsy today to make sure the cells are growing normally. When the results come back the dr. will decide whether to put me on a megadose of estrogen, insert an IUD (don't like the idea of something foreign being in my body long term), or she said most likely she'd recommend an ablation. Since I'm 49 would that stop my periods permanently or put me into somewhat premature menopause? I'd like to be a little more informed before I talk to her next week.
