End stage Heart Disease

Could some one break this down for me and its okay to be blunt and totally frank in your post. Actually I would appreciate it a lot better than any other way.

The patient is my Darling Father who is 80 years old ( A Doctor himself for or 35 years). Also hubby is M.D. , but sugar coats everything for me.

Is it true this can go fast or slow ? Any words of personal experience and wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so kindly , Scent
