I do try to drink about a quart of water a day.
I also drink unsweetened green tea (both regular and decaf). I don't usually count that as part of my plain water intake.
Does anyone have goals as to how much water to drink?
Do you find it hard to remember?
I know that when I was working, it was easier to remember because the bottle of water was right on my desk, but now at home, I'm all over (mostly at home) so it's harder to focus on the glass of water I have waiting.
My main "trick" is to remember to drink two glasses of water first thing, the rest of the day it's easier to just have one or two more.
ETA: This is what works for me. I'm not saying it's going to be the same for everyone. Cheers!

I might drink a glass of water a day....the rest is coffee, rarely pop/soda. I never think about drinking water....I am rarely thirsty

I have a pitcher in the kitchen I fill everyday ... no way can I miss that water....
But I know i am lucky as I actually like water ....some people I know have
to force it down .....

DH and I keep our 20 ounce Yeti tumblers filled with ice water each day. We fill them before going to bed. I doubt we drink the recommended daily amount unless coffee, tea, and soda counts.

I probably drink about 4 bottles of water a day. I started doing it when I got a kidney stone and was getting frequent UTI's. It has kept me infection free and now doing much better.
I wish I had known this years ago. I could have saved myself a lot of trouble... A simple solution to a very painful condition.

I don not think there are any studies done about the need to drink lots of water. If you know of any please tell me. And I do not mean Dr. Oz.

The original study that concluded 64 oz of water a day included water we get from foods, he didn't mean it had to be 8 glasses.
Tea, coffee, juices etc. all count because they are a water base.
I have trouble drinking a lot of liquid, it can keep me up at night.

I've always thought I must have a small bladder, I can't handle that much liquid, I am up and down constantly. I drink as much as I think I need each day, usually it's something like 42 oz. Plus what's in fruit and veg.
For those who can handle more, go for it if you like to.
